The lights that are not working are behind the speedometer, the odometer led, and the two at the top that illuminate the whole dash. I have read that there is a possibility this could be a bcm problem but since I just changed the radio I'm hoping it's a wire I may have cut or a fuse I may not know about.

Can't remember if the G was amongst the models using it, but the reverse light switch was prone to go on a lot of late 80's / 90's VX models (part number 90482454) and more often than not if the lights were out, that was the fault. pierced_dude Discussion starter. 7622 posts · Joined 2011.

LADmachining. It's a bit of a mission to get the display out! First remove the radio, and then the radio cage which is held in with a single screw at the back (this is assuming you still have the standard stereo fitted). Remove two screws on the left and right of the radio aperature. Open the ashtray, the push the metal flap at the top down.
Step 1: Locate the dimmer switch. Start with locating the dimmer switch for the dashboard lights. Tip: If you are having difficulty locating it, refer to your vehicle's owner manual. Step 2: Adjust the dimmer switch. After locating the dimmer switch, turn the key to the second position and turn on the headlights.
